Remix Optimism Compiler

Install

In the Remix plugin manager activate Optimism Compiler.

Now you should be able to compile Optimistic compatible smart contracts.

Deploy to Optimistic Kovan using Remix

For this example we will use the following contract

pragma solidity ^0.7.0;

contract Greeter {
  string greeting;

  constructor(string memory _greeting) {
    greeting = _greeting;
  }

  function greet() public view returns (string memory) {
    return greeting;
  }

  function setGreeting(string memory _greeting) public {
    greeting = _greeting;
  }
}

We will assume you have funds in Optimistic Kovan. For a detailed guide on how to send funds to Optimistic Kovan follow this tutorial.

Now, go to the Optimism compiler and compile the contract.

Switch metamask to Optimistic Kovan by going to https://chainid.link/?network=optimism-kovan and click connect.

Be sure metamask is in the following network:

Now go to the Deploy & Run transactions plugin and select injected provider and deploy the contract.
